Kenmore Meals on Wheels

Have you heard about Meals on Wheels?

The friendly staff from Kenmore Meals on Wheels delivers freshly made "3 course meal and a juice" everyday throughout the week to your home.

The delivery area includes Anstead, Bellbowrie, Brookfield, Chapel Hill, Fig Tree Pocket, Karana Downs, Kenmore, Kenmore Hills, Lake Manchester, Moggill, Mount Crosby, Pinjarra Hills and Pullenvale.

The cost for each meal is only $7.50 if you are eligible for the Home and Community Care Program, if not it will cost you $10.00 each meal.

The 3 course meal includes a soup, a main meal and a dessert.

These meals can be tailored to your need. Diabetic, gluten free, low fat or vegetarian, you can request the meals to be made the way you want it.

If you do not wish the staff to deliver to you daily, the staff can also delivered frozen meals for you. You can then enjoy the meal whenever you want to.

Remember Meals on Wheels is not only for the elderly, it can also be very handy for those who required temporary care (after surgery..etc).

It's May- the month for good cardiovascular health at Prout's Pharmacy !!

This month we are working with the Heart foundation to raise the awareness of Heart attack signs and symptoms. Come in and find more information at our information display. Recognising the signs of heart attack - it could save life!!

Later this month we will be working with the Stroke foundation to conduct "Know your Number" Campaign. We will be doing Free blood pressure checks and diabetes assessments for you. Our friendly staff will also provide you information on stroke, blood pressure and diabetes!!

NDSS

Someone asked me today what is NDSS

- NDSS stands for National Diabetes Services Scheme
- It is an initiative of the Australian Government administered by Diabetes Australia
- It delivers diabetes-related products ( such as blood glucose testing strips) at subsidised prices
- It also provides information and support services to people with diabetes.

Who can register?
- all Australians diagnosed with diabetes (include type I and type II diabetes and also women with gestational diabetes)
